Preschool-Literacy-When I Grow Up
In Literacy we have been Talking about when we grow up and what job roles we would like to do, we have had police officers, firefighters, life guards and teachers. The children drew what they would like to be when they are older.
Year 1 - PSHE - Our School Environment
Year 1 talked about our school environment. We discussed who looks after our environment including our own contributions. The children then drew their favourite part of school.
Pre-School-Understanding The world-People Who Help Us
This week we have been looking at people who help us in the Emergency services and PC Pickering Came to visit us! She talked to the children about her role as a police officer and what kind of things she does within her job role. The children were very engaged with PC Pickering and they got to try on some police uniform and look inside her police car! The children were very excited about this and PC Pickering even put on the blue flashing lights.

Marvel Rivals is a highly popular multiplayer shooter that pits iconic superheroes against formidable villains. The game is free –to play on PC and current-generation consoles but does feature microtransactions that allow players to spend real money on cosmetic items for their characters. Year 3 Life Education Visit - Meet The Brain
Today we had a visit from Life Education. They came into Year 3 to talk about your brain. With the help of a magic t shirt and the interactive whiteboard the children were about to see how their brain worked with other parts of the body. The ysaw inside the lungs, what blood looked like in the body, what the brain looked like and how the heart worked. At the end they met Harold the giraffe and sang a song about friendship.
Year 5 PSHE - Coram Life Education Workshop
Year 5 were lucky to have a visit from Coram Life Education and learned about friendship and being assertive with our friends. We all enjoyed the activities and role playing!
Pre-School-PSHE-Self Care
Pre-School have been learning how to look after themselves. We independently wash our hands for snack time and select a cup and plate for placing our snack on. The children have also been washing the babies in the wash tray, using the sponges to clean the babies and made lots of bubbles. We talked about why it is important to wash our bodies, to keep the germs away.
Year 2 - PSHE - Children's Mental Health Week
Whilst wearing our silly socks for Children's Mental Health week, we discussed big and small feelings, what we can do to feel better when we feel these ways, how to take care of our brain and coloured in lots of fun pictures, as this is one strategy we learnt can help us feel better!
Year 6: PSHE - Maintaining Good Mental Health
This week Year 6 attended a webinar for children's mental health week. They learnt about knowing yourself, self esteem and how to maintain good mental health.
Pre-School- PSHE- The Colour Monster
The children have been developing their understanding of their emotions this week to support Children's Mental Health Week. We listened to The Colour Monster story and worked through all the different feelings and why we might feel this way. The children created their own monster of how they were feeling and added them to a jar.
