Inclusion Coffee Morning
Yesterday we held a coffee morning to find out how we can represent all cultures in our Early Years. We had a fantastic turn out and we have some great ideas on how to move forward with this. Thank you to Mrs Adamson for leading this session. If you are interested in coming along to our next session, please send Miss Sears or Mrs Adamson a Dojo.

Pre School - Keeping Ourselves Safe
Today in PSHE we have been looking at keeping ourselves safe looking at safe and unsafe things to put on our bodies and in our bodies. We looked at different medicines and shampoos. We talked about sand and mud and how we have to try and not get it in our eyes and make sure we wash our eyes.
Two’s Room - Minibeasts
We have had a fantastic week in nursery this week. We have been learning all about minibeasts and creating our own bees. We had lots of fun during rhyme time with our family members. We had fun playing in the water with the ducks. We looked at the word sitting and what it means to us. We all practiced doing this and we also showed this with other objects. We enjoyed playing a colour matching game where we had to match the different colours to the different coloured objects. We have spent time exploring the outdoors and we even found some worms.
Two’s Room - Rhyme Time
The parents and children in the Two’s room had a fantastic time during our rhyme time today. Thank you to all of the parents who could make it. Please don't worry if you couldn't make it this week as it will be running it every week.
Two’s Room Fun!
We have had lots of fun today. We have started looking at a new book this week, which is all about being a good friend. In our book, there are lots of different things to look at. We had a picnic together sharing all of our yummy food with our friends, just like in our story. We also created beautiful butterflies using lots of different materials. We had fun in the tuff tray making caterpillars and spiders by threading the cereal and pasta onto the pipe cleaners.
Online Safety - Self Regulation
As infants, we all rely completely on adults to help us resolve situations that are causing us to become upset or stressed. This is known as co-regulation. The next phase, once autonomy has begun to develop, is called self-regulation: this is when children start to become capable of exercising more control over their impulses and behaviour, and managing their own emotions. This vital developmental milestone, however, isn’t reached spontaneously. Learning to self-regulate requires sensitive guidance from trusted adults – simply talking with children about their thoughts and feelings, for instance, can ease the route to self-regulation. This #WakeUpWednesday guide has some expert tips for supporting children to reach this goal.
Nursery And Pre-School - PSHE - Wellbeing Hour
To mark Children's Mental Health Week, the children in both Nursery and Preschool dedicated a special hour of their session to focus solely on having FUN! This child-led "Wellbeing Hour" was designed to promote happiness and emotional well-being by allowing the children to choose their favorite activities. The children decided exactly how they wanted to spend their time, which led to a wonderful variety of experiences. Some chose to play their favorite games or head to the hall for energetic play, while others enjoyed bowling and eventually settling down for a film to finish the session. A very special highlight of the day was a visit from Dotty the Doggy, which the children absolutely loved and brought so many smiles to their faces. During this time, the children focused on positive social interactions. They played group games where they practiced the important skills of sharing and taking turns. It was wonderful to see every child fully engaged with their friends—the room was filled with laughter and happiness as they simply enjoyed being together. This celebration provided a meaningful way for the children to understand that looking after our minds and being happy with our friends and animal visitors is just as important as our other learning.
