Reception Class New Starter Induction
Thank you for choosing Darwen St James’ C.E Primary Academy for your child. I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to an induction meeting on Wednesday 15th June at 2:00pm. This meeting will take place in the school hall and you will have the opportunity to meet Miss Peckson, Headteacher, Miss Sears, Reception class teacher, Miss Lawson our SENDcO and Assistant Headteacher and our Pupil Wellbeing Lead. During the meeting your child will go into the Reception class to become familiar with their new classroom environment and have the chance to play.
Reception Class New Starter Visits
We are inviting our new Reception Class children to meet Miss Sears and Miss Cooney on; Wednesday 6th July 1pm - 3.15pm. Thursday 7th July 1pm - 3.15pm. Friday 8th July 1pm - 3.15pm. Please use the EYFS/KS1 entrance.

Reception Class New Starter Meeting
We would like to say a huge welcome to the families who found out that their little one got a place in our Reception class in September. Whether you are new to the DSJ family or already part of our Pre-School We can't wait to have your little one on their journey with us. We will be in touch shortly with transition information, once everyone has accepted their place. Our transition afternoon is booked for Wednesday 12th June 2024 at 2pm, so please save the date!
